Another day in the life of Sarah Heikoop :)
Babies Babies Babies
It's getting late, but don't ask me why I waited till now to write on here- Maybe too many exciting things happened today! :) Well, it was just a good Sunday, with some hard stuff mixed in.
This morning I went to a new church (which I thought was in English) and met some very sweet people!!
At noon I had an appointment I scheduled with one of my patients...Which was the hard part! Please, please pray for her- I won't use her name for privacy sake... But she's one scared, young girl with no family, partner, or friends to lean on for support. Her situation is leaving her no option but to adopt her baby that is not yet born, and she needs me to help her through the process. Pray that I can be there for her, showing her Christ's love- something she too would accept!
Tonight, a friend that I met here, Emily (She's Canadian,& married a Filipino) came over! We really had a great visit and time of fellowship! The other week they invited me to their place for supper- so nice to do stuff like that again! :)
Well, I shouldn't keep this long! I think I'm going to head off to bed- Looks like another busy week with cookin and all! :)
Thank you again for your prayers! I couldn't ever thank you all enough for that!
Till next time...
Sarah

Maayong Gapii (good evening)!!! :)
A big hello from my side of the planet to yours! :) Once again it's Sunday- which means blog time! Except if I'm scheduled on shift on Sundays, this is my day off! No homework, no assignment- it's pretty sweet! I think if I didn't have one day like this I would go crazy! Especially since the whole week long if I'm not at the clinic, I'm in front of this handy-dandy external brain morning, afternoon, and evening! As bad as it may sound, it has become my external brain, and I don't know what I would do without my laptop here! I do all my school on it, I use it to communicate back home, and a lot of favorite music is on here! I'm really grateful for it, despite the times I want to chuck it and never see it again! :)
Okay, enough about my computer! :P This past week has good, but also sad! As most of you already know, my Aunt Dianne went to be with the Lord! It all seems so unreal to me, as if I'm going to go home and she'll still be there...
Over here we got through another exam- praise God! We received two more assignments that look pretty interesting! :) A few of us took of on Friday afternoon for an overnight on the beach! It was so relaxing, and great to get away from the city! It decided to rain that night so I don't know how much sleep we got! :P Even though there are beaches 20 minutes away,I haven't been to any since January! Life's just too crazy and exciting I guess! hehe
Well here comes another week!! Life is so short, I pray that God would allow me to use every minute of for Him!! There's much work to be done!! :)
Take care all!! Have a blessed week- even in the rain we have a lot to smile about!

He is Risen!! :)
Happy Easter!!! Happy, because it fills us with joy to think of what Christ did for some 2000 years ago! And that He didn't just stay in the grave- but rose again like He promised!! :) :)
"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, because He lives, all fear is gone! Because I know, He holds the future, and life is worth the living, just because HE lives!!!"
Well Easter weekend is coming to a close here soon, but back home Sunday is just beginning! It's been a great weekend!! Many of us girls got together Thursday night and Friday night for a little "service" here at the dorm- very sweet time together! Then this morning we had a sunrise service together out on the balcony at 4:30am! :) It was very special, and everything was still quiet here in the city at that time!! Then both dorm houses got together at noon for lunch! So now, everyone's winding down! I think I'll take a small nap before night shift tonight...
I just wanted to thank everyone has been praying for me- these past few weeks have been more or less of a struggle with our studies! I guess its just that time of year, and the assignment seemed so long! But things are looking up a little as this assignment is wrapping up- we'll have to hand it in on Thursday and write the exam. The Lord is seeing us through! :) :)
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and holiday!!!
big hug,
Sarah

A Little Tidbit :)
Another week just flew by!! I guess that happens when you need every hour in it to accomplish your schedule- sure makes life an interesting challenge- a good one though! :) Especially when remembering His promise: "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness!"(2Cor 12:9)
This week has also been an exciting one! We're slowly getting introduced (via the web) to the eleven new students that have been chosen for next year! :) It feels like I was just in their spot! It's neat reading their questions about here, thinking back of when I was asking and wondering the same things! They seem like amazing girls, and I'm definitely looking forward to meeting them and being able to spend a year living and learning together! But it's bitter sweet, thinking at the same time of parting with the graduating girls, who I've gotten to know and love so well! Saying goodbye seems to be large part of life here, and it makes me ache for that day when we'll never have to part again- in that Land where the sun never sets! :)Until then, there's much work to be done for the Lord... So we continue on!!
Missing you all, and would especially love to be home with Marlene and Marv being in Ontario!! Hoping they'll all have a great week together!!
Take care!!
Keep on keeping on!
